Wetsuit Care
- After each use, always rinse off with fresh tap water.
- It may be a good habit to wash your wetsuit with Wetsuit Shampoo (available in the store). When I say “wash” the suit, I mean by hand in your tub or laundry sink. This eliminates crystalized salt that usually is a culprit topremature neoprene deterioration. It reconditions the rubber and gets rid of the “ripe” smell of the wetsuit.
- Let the suit drip dry in the shade and never in direct sunlight. Also, use a strong plastic hanger, drape the wet wetsuit over the bar at the waist much like a pair of trousers. Since a wet wetsuitis very heavy, hanging it in this way will prevent wear through in the shoulders.
